ThinkLIKE AN OWNER.
The business half of dentistry: money, marketing, case acceptance, team, culture, systems. Everything that decides what a dentist actually gets paid.
You were trained for the half of this job that happens in the chair. This is the other half. Live, with a real Q&A, and nothing clinical in it.

Whoever you are right now
STILL AT DENTAL SCHOOL
“I can prep a crown. I have no idea what I am worth.”
AN ASSOCIATE
“I am on a percentage of a number I have never been allowed to see.”
RUNNING A PRACTICE
“The diary looks full. The bank does not agree.”
You will be all three. The student becomes the associate. The associate either buys a practice, or spends thirty years funding someone else's.

What we teach
The half of dentistry nobody examined you on.
Eleven things decide what a dentist gets paid. None of them are clinical, and none of them were on the syllabus.
01
Choosing your path
Associate, educator or owner. The honest economics of each one at years one, five and ten, and how to tell which fits you before a contract decides for you.
02
Sales
Not a word most dentists want near their surgery. It is what happens between a diagnosis and a yes, and it is learnable.
03
Marketing
What actually brings the right patient through the door, what only looks like it does, and why most of it is wasted on a practice that cannot convert.
04
HR
Pay models that work for both sides, performance conversations nobody enjoys, and the culture that decides whether your good people stay.
05
Recruitment
Writing the advert, screening properly, and interviewing for the thing you actually need rather than the thing on the CV.
06
Patient communication
Word for word, what to say when someone hesitates. “Let me think about it” is a scripting problem, not a patient problem.
07
The patient journey
From the first phone call to the recall two years later. Every handover where a practice quietly loses people without noticing.
08
Systems
The difference between a practice that needs you in it and one that runs. Written down, handed over, and followed when you are not watching.
09
Productivity
Chair utilisation, diary design, hygiene flow, and what a short-notice cancellation really costs you by Friday.
10
Earning more
The whole road, from a first associate contract to the day you sell, and where the money actually enters it.
11
Earning more per hour of production
The one that changes a career. Not working longer: being worth more for the hours you already work.

Two dentists, same start
SAME START
Same degree. Same days. Same chair.
01 THE CONVERSATION
One explains the treatment. The other explains what happens if it waits.
02 THE DIARY
Both diaries look full. Only one of them is actually sold.
03 THE LIST
Every practice has a list of patients who stopped coming. One of them works it.
04 THE ASK
The split moves when you can show what you are worth, and not before.

Why this is not the usual free webinar.
IT IS NOT CLINICAL CPD
You have sat through enough composite lectures. Zero clinical hours are taught here. This is the half of the job that decides what the clinical half is worth, and you still get a certificate for it.
NOBODY IS SELLING YOU ANYTHING ON THE CALL
No suppliers. No recruiters. No software demo. No forty-minute pitch disguised as training. You get the sixty minutes you were promised and then you leave.
THE ROOM IS DELIBERATELY MIXED
Students, associates and principals in the same session, on purpose. Sitting in a room with people two steps ahead of you is the cheapest way to find out early what the next stage costs.
Who it is for
THIS IS FOR YOU IF
- You own or run a practice and the numbers still feel like someone else's job.
- You are an associate on a percentage of a number you have never been allowed to see.
- You are a student or newly qualified and nobody has said the word “profit” in five years of teaching.
THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF
- You want clinical CPD hours.
- You want it done for you rather than shown to you.
- You are looking for a supplier, a recruiter, or a lead-gen pitch.
- You are already comfortable reading a P&L and negotiating your own contracts.
After the last session
What the room said afterwards.
Also attended your session yesterday. Really insightful.
Outstanding presentation.
I got the opportunity to attend your lecture, it was quite engaging and well delivered.

Every week I sit down with dentists and ask the questions that usually only get asked once the door is closed. Unedited, published in full.

Why me
Four generations. One door that stayed open.
In the 1940s in Amritsar, my great-great-grandfather Deen Muhammad opened a dental practice. Then a second. His son Khizar Hayat ran his own. His son, my grandfather Muhammad Saleem Akhter, spent fifty years in dentistry, twenty-five of them running Makkah Dental Clinic in Lahore.
By 2018 the clinic was sold. My father had chosen the courtroom. There was no fourth generation coming.
I was already building companies by then. Five of them since 2019. My brother Hashir and I booked over 600 B2B sales meetings in a single year. One of those companies I shut down myself, at its peak, the month I read the supplier's terms properly and realised we were reselling data we had no right to resell. Nobody had complained. Nobody was checking. My father's rule is never cheat, so I closed it.
Then I left all of it to come back here.
Not with a drill. With systems. I host Between Patients, where dentists tell me the truth on the record every week. I wrote The $2 Dentist.
The door in my family has been open since the 1940s. I intend to keep it open, and to help you keep yours.
Four generations of my family stood at every stage of this. That is why the room has all three in it.

FAQ
Questions
Free. No card, no trial, nothing to cancel. You will hear about the paid programme once, at the end, for about ninety seconds. Then the session ends.
Yes. A non-clinical CPD certificate: business, leadership and practice management, issued the same day, every session.
Monthly, new topic each time. Registering once gets you the invite to every future one.
Yes, registrants get it for seven days. But the Q&A is the best part and you cannot ask a recording a question.
No. Most people are not. Type your question instead.
Especially. Most of what decides an associate's income was set in a contract they signed without reading.
You are exactly on time. The cheapest place to learn what the next stage costs is a room with people two steps ahead of you.
Owners, managers, associates and final-year students, deliberately mixed. No suppliers and no recruiters. That is a rule, not a preference.
Not ready to sit in a room?
Run your own numbers first. Both take less than five minutes and neither asks for a card.
